PREVENTIVE WELLNESS STRATEGIST • SPEAKER • FOUNDER
A voice your audience will remember.
A perspective earned from many sides.
Michal brings healthcare experience and the lived perspective of a Black woman, trauma survivor and founder to an unmistakably human examination of how people live, work and stay well, and what we keep missing when we only see one side of the picture.

People often look fine long after something needs attention.
High-performing women keep producing. Healthcare professionals keep reporting for their shifts. Families keep adapting.
Employees keep meeting expectations.
FUNCTIONING IS NOT THE SAME AS BEING WELL
Knowing what to do does not always mean people have the support, capacity or conditions to do it, or the health to sustain it.
Michal gives audiences language for what they have normalized and brings together the personal, cultural, clinical and systemic parts of the story to show what sustainable wellbeing requires in real life.
Why Michal
SHE HAS BEEN ON MORE THAN ONE SIDE OF THE STORY.
Michal spent more than a decade caring for patients in emergency and critical-care environments, witnessing what happens when health concerns, chronic stress and unmet needs are addressed too late.
She also knows the experience personally. Burnout, anxiety, grief, faith, family loss and her own mental-health diagnosis required her to reconsider what being well actually meant beyond appearing capable.
Then she built around what she learned.
As Founder and Executive Director of Her Promise Circle Foundation, Michal leads a team delivering nonclinical preventive-wellness programming. Through her podcast, speaking and public platform, she brings these conversations to a growing audience.
She does not approach wellbeing from only one side. She has treated the crisis, experienced the gaps, built the support and learned how to communicate the full picture.
NO ONE GETS A PASS.
Michal is a preacher’s kid willing to challenge spiritual bypassing in the church. A healthcare professional willing to question the system. A Black woman willing to confront what culture teaches us to normalize. And a human being who still believes personal responsibility matters.
Her perspective is clear: improving health outcomes requires action from individuals, accountability from institutions and support that reflects the whole person.

WHY HEALTHY WOMEN STILL BURN OUT
High-functioning women are often praised for the same behaviors that are quietly depleting them. Michal challenges the idea that functioning, achieving and doing everything “right” automatically mean a woman is well. She explores the emotional, physical, spiritual, behavioral and environmental dimensions of whole-woman wellbeing and what women may miss while continuing to perform.
AUDIENCES LEAVE ABLE TO
☐ Distinguish high functioning from genuine wellbeing
☐ Recognize stress and burnout signs that are easy to normalize
☐ Understand why information and healthy intentions do not always create sustainable change
☐ Identify a realistic next step toward tending to the whole woman

BEHIND THE BEDSIDE
WHAT HEALTHCARE LEADERS MISS ABOUT THE PEOPLE STILL SHOWING UP
Healthcare professionals can continue delivering care long after trust, morale and personal wellbeing have begun to erode. Drawing from more than a decade in emergency and critical care, including frontline work through the COVID-19 pandemic, Michal brings leaders the perspective that engagement surveys, retention reports and generic wellness initiatives cannot fully capture.
AUDIENCES LEAVE ABLE TO
☐ Better understand the daily conditions shaping frontline morale and retention
☐ Recognize the difference between employee resilience and employee support
☐ Examine where leadership intentions and clinician experience may be disconnected
☐ Consider more human ways to rebuild trust, empathy and engagement

LIFE AFTER DIAGNOSIS
GETTING THE NAME WAS NOT THE SAME AS GETTING WELL.
Receiving a mental-health diagnosis gave Michal language for what she was experiencing. It did not automatically teach her how to live well. Michal shares what managing anxiety, recovering from burnout and rebuilding her life required beyond finally naming the problem. The conversation includes behavior change, physical wellbeing, emotional health, faith, spiritual health, support and the conditions that make follow-through possible.
AUDIENCES LEAVE ABLE TO
☐ See diagnosis as the beginning of understanding rather than the entirety of identity
☐ Understand why awareness alone does not create transformation
☐ Consider the roles of physical health, faith, behavior and support in whole-person wellbeing
☐ Approach mental health with greater honesty, compassion and hope
